Tweets -- Just in time for the CBC season...

I've added a Rare Bird report form to allow web-based reporting of Washington
rare birds. The form is transmitted via email to Phil Mattocks with the
Washington Bird Records Committee.

The form can be found on the Washington Ornithological Society website at
http://www.wos.org

The purpose of the Washington Bird Records Committee is to expand our knowledge
of the range and distribution (including changes over time) of bird species in
Washington State by examining documented reports of birds. While the
distribution of common birds is fairly well known, there is a quite extensive
list of species for which reports are requested. These "review species" are
italicized in the Checklist of Washington Birds, also available on the WOS
website.

The Washington Bird Records Committee would also be interested in reports of
more common birds that are out-of-season or outside their normal ranges -- for
extreme examples, a winter sighting of a Black-headed Grosbeak or a Spokane
sighting of a Tufted Puffin should be reported.

If you have any problems with the form, please let me know.
