Dear Tweeters:

Western Bluebirds regularly overwinter in the Okanagan Valley (up to 75
birds on the Penticton Christmas count each year, smaller numbers in
Kelowna, Oliver-Osoyoos). Here they hang around Russian olive groves,
eating the 'berries'. They also love grapes and have been found
increasingly around vineyards. In the Oliver area I've seen them several
times feeding on sumac berries as well.
