Pine Warbler, White-throated Sparrow, Merlin, Black and White Warbler,
Prairie Falcon

A PINE WARBLER, Idaho's first state record, is visiting a feeder in Moscow,
Latah Co, ID. The bird has been present at the feeder of Bettie and Ray
Hoff, 907 East 7th Street, since Tue, Dec 7. The bird frequents a feeder on
the south side of the house, particularly in the morning. Look for it
around the southeast corner of 7th Street and Hayes. The Hoff's have also
had a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW visiting their feeders for about a month and
there's a MERLIN too. The Hoff's are happy to have birders visit but if you
are coming from a distance you might want to check ahead. Email them at

The BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER, having disappeared for 8 days, was seen again
on Sun, Dec 12 at Two Rivers County Park in Kennewick, Benton Co WA
according to Dennis Rockwell. It was near the wildlife observation blind
along the nature trail. The park is east of Kennewick near the confluence
of the Snake and Columbia rivers. WA DeLorme 39, C-8.

A PRAIRIE FALCON was on the Rathdrum Prairie near Post Falls, Kootenai Co
ID on Mon Dec 13 according to Stephen Lindsay. The bird was near the
intersection of Lancaster and Greenferry. These roads intersect about 5
miles north of Post Falls, just south of ID 53 between Rathdrum and Hauser
