The summary for our count held on Saturday, December 18 is as follows:

59 species, plus one race, including two new species, Pine Warbler and
Hooded Merganser. There were six Count Week species.
8,383 individuals, with record numbers of Mallards, Canada Geese, and N.
Harriers.

This is our second highest individual count and only six species short
of that record. Had we not had high winds to contend with almost all
day long, this count would have set numerous records.
