On December 3, Dennis Rockwell relocated the BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER
initially reported on November 26 along the nature trail in Two Rivers Park
in Finley, and also found the female HAIRY WOODPECKER and a WINTER WREN
there.

Ruth Fisher, on December 5, noted that the CATTLE EGRET reported initially
on November 27 remained along Hess Road in Whitstran. Ruth also observed
four TUNDRA SWANS in a pond along Bunn Road near Prosser and a PRAIRIE
FALCON along Badger Road.

On December 8 I found a MERLIN in a Pine Tree at the corner of Spring and
Alexander streets in North Richland, an immature BALD EAGLE in a pond near
the corner of Davidson and Newcomer streets, and both GOLDENEYE species
just above Nelson Island.

About 280 BREWER?S BLACKBIRDS plus 2 BROWN-HEADED COWBIRDS were seen by
Bill and Nancy LaFramboise along Harris street just south of WSU in North
Richland on December 11.

Madeline Brown reported that both GOLDENEYE species were present in the
pond at the main entrance to the Hammer Facility along Horn Rapids Road on
December 13.

Also on December 13, Chris Tuding belatedly reported an immature BALD EAGLE
over the river near Hover Park on December 6 . A COOPER?S HAWK along Hover
Road on December 7. And a MERLIN along Rigg Road on December 11, all in
the Finley area.

Finally, I checked the shorebirds on the Yakima Delta on December 13 and
found four KILLDEER, a DUNLIN, and three very late LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS.
While there I saw a PRAIRIE FALCON make a pass overhead.

To report your own sightings, please give your name, phone number and
sightings after the tone. Thank you.
