Hi All,

A big female Am. Kestrel was perch hunting the I-5 margin by Boeing Field this
afternoon. Since this is one of the birds I constantly worry about (I'm sure
that does it a lot of good!), I was very pleased to see it.

The juvenile Harris Sparrow that visits our backyard is getting more skittish
along with the others as the hen Sharpy continues to aggressively patrol
around here, but it did show up again today.

By the way, I guess everybody else already knows about how effective thistle
feeders are, but I didn't. I put an upside down thistle tube feeder out a
week ago and within two days a Goldfinch showed up and now at the very least 4
are regular. Plus the House Finch and House Sparrows aren't interested
(Hooray!).
