hello tweets.

i spent the last hours of this evening at captain's optics and
nautical specialists, looking through binoculars. even though i
was there for a short time, i must say that i have fallen IN LOVE,
MADLY, DEEPLY, PASSIONATELY IN LOVE with swarovski binoculars!

i looked through five different pairs of binoculars, four of which
cost more than my price limit, which i now think i will revise
UPWARD! the leica 10x42, zeiss 10x40, and swarovski 10x42 and 10x50s
all were amazing. however, i think i might be more in love with
the swarovski binos than any of the others, but i am not sure yet.

i think i need to shop around more, to look through more binos that
are within my original price range, before i make any decisions. but
i have to tell you guys that the swarovski binoculars are so amazing;
they give an amazing clarity of image and color, they feel great in my
hands (the 10x50s give a faster focus than the 10x42s) and the 10x42
have a 10 foot close-focus (10x50s are 19 feet), and both swarovski
binos are so LIGHT. wow.

my ever-patient husband had to pry me out of captain's store this
evening. i can't believe that he puts up with me so graciously!
