Yesterday (Dec 24) I visited the Harris' Sparrow site SW of Toppenish
that Andy Stepniewski described. As mentioned the area was seeded and
showed lots of activity for a gray, foggy day. There were scads of
White-crowned Sparrows, one Golden-crowned, and several Song Sps. A
single adult Harris' (a first for me) made several cameo appearances
over the 2-3 hrs I was there. I managed to capture some of the general
activity on video, including a feral cat trying unsuccessfully to sneak
up on the crowd. Got some reasonably good shots of the Harris'. I will
post a couple of still images sometime after I recover from Christmas
dinner and football.
