Hi Tweets!

I headed outside on this sunny Christmas afternoon and checked out the "Ol
Fishin' Hole" and vicinity. I got a good long look at a HOUSE WREN. This
little wren was also dancing around a chirping at me. Not as much as the
"guard" wren (WINTER WREN) that entertained my friend and me yesterday at
Soos Creek.

I also spotted a RED TAIL HAWK with such a chewed looking tail I at first
thought it was some other kind hawk with a short tail.

I pished out some BLACK CAPPED CHICKADEES. A large flock of WIGEONS in one
of the golf course ponds lifted up and flew over me. At the "Hole" there
were two male RING NECK DUCKS and one female, a female SCAUP, several Buffle
Heads, a female GOLDEN EYE (sp), several panhandling mallards, and a single
RING BILL GULL hanging out with the "mongrel" gulls. There were also several
HOODED MERGANSERS - mostly females!

What started out as an ugly cold gray day, has ended quite nicely! Hope
everybody had a beautiful Christmas!
