well, okay..it wasn't really a partridge and it wasn't
a pear tree... it was a Sharpshin Hawk in a maple
tree.

the little guy (gender estimated because of size) sort
of flitted down the trunk of a huge fir in my backyard
and then zipped up to perch in a vine maple. I was
looking down at him from my deck where I was installing
a suet feeder. I asked my wife to watch him and I went
in for the bino's..when I got back out he was gone..
never send a boy on a man's errand, I guess.. :)
