I am wondering if other 520 commuters can provide insight into the beaver
construction occuring on the north side of the bridge at Foster Island. They
appear to be building a large, water-level "porch" in front of the lodge
that has been there for some time. It is providing a Great Blue Heron with a
quality hunting/resting place. I have observed a number of beaver dams and
lodges over the years, but never anything quite like what I see here.
