Beautiful day - warm, windless, fogless, almost sunny. There were an even
DOZEN of us this morning at Marymoor -- rather a large group!

We were rewarded with some surprises:

Common Loon 1 on lake
Red-necked Grebe 1 or more FAR out on lake
Green Heron 1 near the beaver lodge
Snow Goose 5, 4 in one group, 1 in another
Townsend's Warbler At least 2
Possum 1 in the Pea Patch

Four of the Snow Geese were seen flying in and landing in the northeast part of
the park. By around 10, they were with several hundred Canadas near the
Climbing Rock. At around 10:45, a fifth Snow Goose was found with a flock of
Canadas behind the tennis courts.

Twice we had flocks of shorebirds flying south - perhaps Dunlin or Snipe.

For ducks, we had:
Mallard
Gadwall
Northern Pintail -flock of 15 flyover
Green-winged Teal -Rowing Club ponds
Bufflehead -100 on lake
Common Goldeneye -1 female in slough
Common Merganser -1 male at lake
Hooded Merganser -At least 5

All told, around 48-50 species. Plus the possum (new for me for Marymoor).
