Another place to try for gulls is Liberty State Park. It's the park across
from the south tip of Manhattan in New Jersey. There is a water taxi that
runs from the World trade center across to the park, only takes about 10
minutes (5$) on a regular basis. It's a fairly large open area with some
marshes and board walks, also has a nice visitor center, similar to Padilla
bay.
