Jerry Broadus and all--
I wish I had seven butter-butts at my feeder! However, I have had just one,
who has been a daily visitor to my suet for about the past three weeks.
Perhaps they are bolder in numbers, becuase my solitary one is usually
scared off the feeder by juncos, sparrows, downy woodpeckers, chickadees,
and especially the pushy little resident red-breasted nuthatch.
Maybe South King County/North Pierce County is a good area for the
wintering yellow-rumped warblers? I saw one or sometimes a couple together
during the fall months, but this is the first period of regular visits.
