A good place to see Gulls near NYC is Jones Beach - Point Lookout on Long
Island.

Lesser Black-Backed, Black-Headed, Iceland, and Ross's among other species
have been reported here.

There is a report from last Sunday of a Black-Tailed Gull associating with
Ring-Billed Gulls at Jones Beach Parking Lot Number 6.
