Absolutely worth going, although it could be cold and windy.

I assume you're driving up I5. After you cross the border,
take the Tsawassen exit and then follow the signs to Ladner.
This highway parallels the freeway, but after a few miles,
watch carefully on the left for a road to the local airport
(don't have the name handy, sorry).

This is a dead end road where you can walk the dikes and get some
excellent hawking, and maybe snowy owls. You'll need a good scope if you
want to see the waterbirds from here.

Back on the main road, it goes straight into Ladner, you go straight
through and out of town and on your right a small sign for Reifel,
cross a wooden bridge and carefully check all the fields!

anything is possible in these fields. this road takes you to Reifel.

If you finish early enough in the day, it's worth taking some of the local
roads south of Ladner and towards Tswassen ferry, the ferry area itself,
all have produced some good birding.

Don't forget to take some black sunflower seeds so the chicks and nuttos
can eat out of your hand. They sell birdseed there but its mixed stuff,
and i think it just encourages a lot of riffraff birds.

Even the woodducks have become beggars. have fun and report back.
