Sightings for Wednesday, February 3rd
The ROSS'S GOOSE was again seen at Como Lake Park in Coquitlam. This tends
to be a hard bird to locate as it seems to be on no particular time table
for being at this location, flying off with a flock of CANADA GEESE to
other haunts frequently. It has been seen at most times of the day. This
park has more than it's share of free running dogs which keep the geese on
the move.

The SLATY-BACKED GULL along with 5 WESTERN GULLS were in a large flock of
gulls at Burns Rd. & 96th in Delta.

An EARED GREBE was observed from the White Rock Pier.

A MERLIN was seen at the East end of Tynehead Park.

Out of town was a BLUE JAY on Bowen Island approx. 200 yd. North of the
Legion. This bird has been present for an extended period of time and is
generally seen daily. The SAY'S PHOEBE is still been seen near Duncan on
Vancouver Island. Also in Nanaimo a RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER has been seen.
