This morning in the rain I saw 18 Common Snipe north of the boardwalk in the
Lake Hills Greenbelt. They were feeding in the buttercup mudflats. I had seen
10 COSN there on Jan. 28 on another rainy morning. I checked the same area out
three times after that when it wasn't raining and I didn't see any. They seem
to be more willing to feed out in the open when it is raining. I noticed this
last winter also.

There also are about 15 Common Merganser, male and female, at Larsen L. as
well as numerous other waterfowl.
