Yes, there is a fairly large group that hangs out in the Rikkola Unit
of Willapa Bay NWR in Pacific Co. WA and a group of maybe 200 at
Brownsmead, Clatsop Co.

The statement "the entire population of these birds gathers off Crescent
City, Ca." contradicts the USFW statements regarding the distribution
of this subspecies. According to the special goose season regulations
brochure. Most of Clatsop Co is closed to protect the endangered
Aleutian Canada Goose.

But when one is advertising an Aleutian Goose Festival
"some of the population" is not nearly so seductive as "the entire
population."
