As today's RBA from Oregon commented after listing a lone turkey vulture,
the general northward movement will be beginning in the next week or so.
Last year, I received my first sighting of the season in February from the
Bellingham area.

So . . . while you are looking for sparrows and buntings in the bushes,
look up and check for our lone returning vulture species and post a report.
This will be the eigth year of intensive data-gathering on turkey vultures
in our region and hopefully not the last. Your reports are very much
appreciated.
