I just had the pleasure of sharing my yard N. Saw-whet Owl with the Gilmans
from Wapato. They had heard about the owl from their brother-in-law "who
read about it on the Internet in Lansing MH). We also saw a Barn Owl that
has taken up roosting in the incense cedars. We compared the pellets of the
two species also-there's a big difference in size (duh) We also saw a
Red-tailed Hawk and a Kestrel. Lots of magpies squawking at these raptors,
too. Quite a 10-minute show!
