Monday was not as sunny, but we still had a good time. Drove 150 miles,
to Bridgeport, back to Mansfield on to Coulee City and home.
We made a stop at Leahy Junction to see the SAGE GROUSE. Did not
see the numbers Ruth saw, but we did spot six males and one female.
There was a nice assortment of ducks in the water behind Cheif Joseph
Dam.
We ran into George Gertz looking for the Sharp-tailed Grouse. We did not

see them, don't know if he found them or not.
Over the long weekend we saw several porcupines in the tree tops. From a
distance you wonder what kind of "big" bird is that.
The highlight of the day for us was five AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS
southeast of Mansfield. One mile south of hwy.172 on L road (Heritage
road)
We had thirty three species for the day. Great weekend!
