Many people seem to feel that I suggested that we vote on the Xantus'
Hummingbird because I wanted to send a message to the British Columbia bird
sightings committee. That is quite wrong. I certainly did not have the
knowledge of the bird and the "evidence" that the members of the committee
did. I didn't even see the bird.

I was just interested in how other people felt about the sighting. It was
strictly a matter of curiosity. The voting turned out to be much more
one-sided than I expected. I thought it was interesting, especially in the
votes that were other than yes or no.

The guy who sent to the fake report on the XAHU surely must be operating one
card short of a full deck.
