Greetings tweetsters,

The real issue at hand is not the proposal to destroy native birds of prey
(which of course is absurd) but the release of more than a thousand
non-native birds (Ring-necked Pheasants are Asian birds).

If I remember correctly Ring-necked Pheasants are linked to destruction of
native amphibians and reptiles. If anything Ring-necked (or any other
species of introduced) pheasants ought to be removed.

Maybe they can raise 1000 owls and hawks in captivity and teach them to hunt
pheasants before releasing them...(tongue firmly planted in cheek).
