Diane:

I don't know about a web site, but there are several books that illustrate
the birds of that region. Hard telling which library will have what. You
might need to go to a university library.

Ali, S. and S. D.Ripley. 1968-1974. Handbook of the birds of India and
Pakistan, together with those of Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan and Ceylon. 10
volumes. Oxford Univ. Press. Many color plates.

Ali,S. 1996. The book of Indian birds. 12th ed. Oxford Univ. Press.
354 pages. 74 color plates. [Cover area south of the Himalayas only.]

de Schauensee, R.M. 1984. The birds of China. Smithsonian Institute
Press. 602 pages. 38 color plates. [Cover only China, not Nepal, but many
of the species also occur in the Himalayas in Nepal.]

Fleming, R.L.,Sr., R.L.Fleming,Jr., and L.S.Bangdel. 1975. Birds of Nepal.
350 pages. [I have not seen this one, so don't know what it has for
illustrations.]

Grewal, B. 1995. A photographic guide to the birds of India and Nepal.
144 pages. [I haven't seen this one. It is currently listed in the
American Birding Association Catalog as a paperback for $13.95 (members),
$15.95 (nonmembers).]

Inskipp, T., and C. Inskipp. 1991. A guide to the birds of Nepal. 2nd
ed. Christopher Helm, Publishers., London. 400 pages. 8 color plates.

Woodcock, M. 1995. Collins birds of the Indian Sub-continent. 176 pages.
545 illustrations. [I haven't seen this one, and don't know if the
illustrations are in color. It is currently listed in the ABA Catalog as a
paperback at $20.95. The catalog says it covers Nepal.]
