Drove from Walla Walla to Pasco and return. Got our first White
Pelican , 8 near the pulp mill at Wallula. Found 5 hawks Red -tailed
, Rough-legged, our first for the year. Northern Harrier, American
Kestrel and a Cooper's that sat on a post for all the view we wanted.
McNary Pools had lots of Mallard's, Northern Pintails, Canada Geese
by the 100's plus 1 , 1 Common Merganser, an American
Widgeon, a few Coots and a large number of Double-Crested
Cormorants. Red wings were displaying every where. The Great Blue
Herons are at least standing on the nests at the rooky at Blalock
Pond on the West edge of College Place. A few other common birds were
noted. None were rare enough to put in caps. Larry and Jacque Goodhew
