This morning we called off our regular 4th Mon. hotspots field trip due to
rain, high winds and only two people showed up. So, I did my regular walk of
the Lake Hills Greenbelt in Bellevue. As usual the rain brought the Common
Snipe out into the open mudflats area where I could see them. This is just
north of the boardwalk. I counted 25 COSN in the rain and I know I can't see
all of them. There were also 6 Killdeer and a number of Gadwall and Mallard
feeding in the area. This is the most number of COSN I have seen there at one
time.

I probably saw 25-30 species total on the walk, all ones I commonly see. But I
did see about 12 Golden-crowned and 6 White-crowned Sparrows feeding in the
rain. I don't see these on every walk.
