I've never seen 3 in that location, but a couple of times last fall I saw 2 at
one time in that area, one in a tree on the golf course, and one soaring.
There is one tree on the golf course (the par 18) in particular that one of
them seemed to prefer. It overlooked a pond which contained a good deal of
waterfowl. A couple of months ago I saw an eagle just upstream from the par 3
golf course/driving range, sitting on a very large snag. It was being dive
bombed by a sea gull, which broke off the action after about three passes.
The eagle "ducked" during each pass, but held it's position. I have walked
the trails in that area a lot in the past few years, but have just started
seeing the eagles about 7 or 8 months ago.

Speaking of Kent, about noon on Saturday I saw 2 road kill racoons on Smith
Street, just east of State street in a high traffic commercial area of
beautiful downtown Kent. I say road kills because they were in the gutter and
about 10 feet from each other, although they were neather 'flat' nor with
visible open wounds. These are the first road kill racoons I have seen here.
There are streams/creeks in that vicinity.
