The East Lake Wash AS (ELWAS) has a cruise scheduled for this Sat. out of La
Connor. We have been doing this in Feb/Mar for the past few years. The
emphasis is on birds. The skipper, Ken McDonald, enjoys having a cruise for
birders as he is interested in birds also. There still is room for at least
15-20 more people. So if any of you are interested call and make reservations.
Particulars as presented in our monthly newsletter are as follows:

Nature Cruise - La Conner - Feb. 27
A four hour cruise of Upper Swinomish Channel and Padilla Bay. Expect to see
Bald Eagles, Great Blue Herons, Grebes, Loons, Mergansers, Oldsquaws,

great viewing in any weather. The boat will leave at 10:00 am, so you should
