AHH - a fine sunny morning. The rain held off until literally the second I pulled the keys out of my pocket to get back into my
car.

I was joined by Mike West, and we had an enjoyable time walking the nature trail, through the Pea Patch, and around the mansion.

All told, I saw 41 species, including a few after Mike left. Highlights were

....an adult Bald Eagle flying over the lake, generally towards the nest, and later an adult in/on the nest, and later still an adult
in the tree next to the nest. Probably all the same one.

....a Northern Shrike east of the eastern part of the nature trail

....Oso Berry (a.k.a. Indian Plum) in bloom -- also, blooming flowering plum near the mansion

....Yellow-rumped Warblers, all seemingly female Audubon's, near the mansion and the slough opposite the mansion

....a tremendous pile of owl pellets in the cedars next to the windmill

....a Lincoln's Sparrow at the NW corner of the Pea Patch, at the base of one of the cottonwoods

....Singing -- Bewick's, Winter, and Marsh Wrens, Song Sparrows, Fox Sparrows, Chickadees, etc. Red-winged Blackbirds defending
territories. etc. Could it be...Spring coming?
