Siskins at your feeder, very likely. With patience, chickadees will eat
out of your hand. I've had siskins sit on the feeder or a plant next
to me and eat out of my hand, but they, so far, will not actually
move onto my hand. Very interesting.

Green lake is good. Also, if you're in the north end, explore
North seattle community college. there's a surge pond next to
the freeway between the college and the freeway which has very good
viewing when standing onthe south end of the pond. Gadwalls, pied
billed grebes, ring necked ducks, buffleheads, hooded mergansers,
great blue heron, wood ducks are common.
Not in great numbers, but common and great for learning your birds.

The green space to the north is noisy (freeway noise) but can be
very productive on occasion. Lots of new construction has disrupted
things, but this is a very accessible and productive birding area
especially for beginners.

Red tail hawk, sharp shinned hawk, flickers, finches, and occasional
woodpeckers for the patient birder.

Shoreline community college and environs just north also are easily
accessible and periodically productive.
Good luck.
