Saturday, February 27

A HARRIS' SPARROW was found again at Lochside Trail and Martindale Road
in Central Saanich.

A BLUEJAY was relocated at 535 Acklands Road which is off Whishart Road,
possibly the same bird that was seen the previous day at 3341 Mary Anne
Cres. near Cairndale. These are all in the same general area.

1 and possibly 2 NORTHERN PYGMY OWLS were heard on Lone Tree Hill
parking lot on Millstream Road in the Highlands district.


Friday, February 26

A BARRED OWL was seen again in Beacon Hill Park in the cedars behind the
bandshell.


Thursday, February 25

A BLUEJAY appeared at 3341 Mary Anne Cres.

A GYRFALCON was still being seen at the golf driving range on Beverly
St. south of Somenos Marsh in Duncan.

A YELLOW-BILLED LOON was reported recently at Ladysmith harbour. It has
not been relocated and has not been reported since February 23.


February 24

A NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD was reported at the entrance to the Tower Point
Park part of Whitty's Lagoon Regional Park in Metchosin.
