Hello Tweets,

My mother and I along with a few other birders observed one SKYLARK briefly
today between 8:15am-9:15am, as it was flushed at least 3 times at the
previous location north of Sequim. The bird could not be relocated later
during the day, despite extensive searching through the large field from
several other birders on sight. Other notable highlights during our stay
included: 1 EMPEROR GOOSE observed flying south over the field from
Dungeness Spit with 28 Canada Geese, 1 S.E.OWL, 1 EUR.WIGEON(present with
large flock of Am.Wigeon in green field, across the road from the
"skylark"field, 1 MERLIN, 1 N.SHRIKE, 1 MOURNING DOVE, 1 O.C.WARBLER, and
25-30 W.MEADOWLARKS. Scott Atkinson located a GLAUCOUS GULL along Cays Rd.
SW of the "skylark" field, which other birders relocated. We birded Ediz
Hook in Pt.Angeles at 2:30pm and observed 12 BROWN PELICANS, 25 MARBLED
MURRELETS, 2 B.OYSTERCATCHERS, 2 R.TURNSTONES, 2 ROCK SANDPIPERS, 2
L.SANDPIPERS, 1 W.SANDPIPER, 30 B.B.PLOVERS, 20 B.TURNSTONES, and 135
DUNLIN. All the birds at this location, except for the murrelets were
observed at high tide roosting on several partially submerged log within
limits of the pulp mill inside Pt.Angeles Harbor near bthe base of the
hook.

Good Birding,
