Subject: odd junco

We have a Dark-eyed Junco visiting out back yard feeding station that is
missing
most or all of the upper mandible of its beak. It appears to be otherwise
healthy and is feeding actively.
The face area above the beak appears to be slightly flattened. I would guess
that an injury
such as would occur from flying into a window is more likely than a
developmental deformity.

Thanks, Charles.
