Spring must be coming. This morning, before dawn, ('bout six or so) I heard
two Great Horned owls calling. I don't know if the females call or not, so I
won't say they were a pair.. The wierd thing is, they were both in a copse of
trees no bigger than a half acre right across the street from Post Office in
Dupont. You can't get more suburbanized than that...trees, yes, but also a
convenience store, traffic lights, a cop car with lights flashing and I-5
traffic nearly overpowering the hoots. I don't know if this is good news or
bad......
