Hi Tweets,

Just got back from a trip to Miami and the Everglades...interesting place
and lots of good birds. I managed to see Short-tailed Hawk, Spot-breasted
Oriole, Red-whiskered Bulbul and Monk Parakeet, but missed Smooth-billed
Ani, Canary-winged Parakeet (either species) and Florida Scrub Jay. At
Mahogany Hammock in the Everglades, I heard (but did not see) what I think
were White-crowned Pigeons. These guys are apparently pretty easy to see in
spring and summer, but more difficult in winter. Does anyone have a
recording of a White-crowned Pigeon call? I remember the call I heard:
sort of a 'rattling' cooing, kind of like Quail-doves...
