Sightings for Sunday, January 3:

2 ROCK SANDPIPERS were in a flock of of BLACK TURNSTONES on rocks south of
Ferguson Point in Stanley Park. Also in Stanley Park, crows were harassing
a BARRED OWL on Lee's Trail, just before dusk. 3 pairs of RING-NECKED DUCKS
were at the northeast corner of Lost Lagoon.

The SLATY-BACKED GULL and a WESTERN GULL were seen in a field north of
Burn's Drive in Delta.

After an absence of 10 days, the MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE was again seen at a
feeder in the front yard of 269 West 63 Avenue in Vancouver.

Blackie Spit had 1 MARBLED GODWIT, 1 LONG-BILLED CURLEW, 22 GREATER
YELLOWLEGS and 4 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS. 1 EURASIAN WIGEON was just across
the road from Serpentine Fen on the King George Highway.

In a late report for Saturday, the WILLET was at the base of the Tsawwassen
Ferry Jetty along with a PEREGRINE FALCON.

Saturday, January 2:

3 CRESTED MYNA were seen at the parking lot of the Lee Valley Tool Store at
Southwest Marine Drive, just off the Arthur Laing Bridge.

Friday, January 1:

The BRAMBLING was at its usual spot at Blackie Spit.The bird is associating
with sparrows in shoreline shrubs and trees at the north end of the low
pilings that span the mouth of farm slough.

A GYRFALCON was having an altercation with a PEREGRINE FALCON at Reifel
Bird Sanctuary.

A YELLOW-BILLED LOON was seen on the Serpentine River between Highway 99
and Highway 10.

In Delta an AMERICAN KESTREL was seen along Delta Port Way. The PRAIRIE
FALCON was along 36 Avenue.
