Hi. I'm new to this group but am interested in
many of the topics that I see discussed. If I
stumble over protocol let me know.

While I don't pretend to be an expert birder I
have been using video film to record migratory
waterfowl and indigenous birds in areas of Benton
and Yakima counties for several years; especially
the period between the end of hunting season and
mid summer. With more time available now I
expect to film more extensively in central
Washington, including the spring migration of the
sand hill cranes around Othello.

Recently I began taking still images from some of
the video tapes for use on a web site at
http://www.angelfire.com/wa/minkgi As I worked
through the tapes some of the images I found
provide bits of humor that was missed during the
filming and while watching the moving video. If
anyone cares to visit the web site and make
comments or suggestions for improvements I would
be most appreciative.

I hope I will be able to contribute to some of
the discussions in the future.
