I can second Jack's recomendation. I got a pair of Swift 8X42 Ultralites and I
love them. They have long eye relief for those of us who wear glasses. They
are a great step up from my Bushnell 7X35 Ensigns I used for years.

I have a friend who has the Celestron 8X40 (?) that are waterproof (the Swifts
are not) & he loves them. He paid about $400.00 for his while I got mine
through Eagle Optics for about $200.00.

My next pair will be waterproof, but I don't intend to take these swimming.;-}
