That helps, but if it's salmonella, which is what it sounds like, then you
need to clean up the areas underneath the feeders as well. All that feed
that's sitting on the ground..and hulls, and feces and such..the birds hop
around in it, they eat moldy seed, they come in contact with sick birds
feces..it all contributes to salmonella. I even move my feeding areas every
year and allow the areas underneath them to grow over. It helps, but doesn't
stop, salmonella
