Dear Jon,

Some cowbirds (at least 2 females) that we colour-banded at Ladner, B.C. (near Vancouver) have remained resident year-round in the region, and have shown up at peoples' feeders in mid-winter. So cowbirds in the PNW may range from resident to moderately long-distance migrants.
