For native wildlife I totally agree that no harassment of any kind should
be practiced. For Starlings and House Sparrows we are talking about
non-native invasive species which are not protected by law, whether it be
killing, harassing or other behavior. I'm sure that with predators around
like accipters blind birds don't suffer too long and even if they do I
DON"T CARE!!
Isn't it suffering to watch populations of native birds decline
drastically because of House Sparrows, and even more because of
Starlings. Sanctity of life is mentioned above, how many starlings
consider the sanctity of life when they distrurb native birds. There is a
reason why they are not protected under law. They are not wanted in our
bird populations and any legal way that removes these birds I say go for
it!
