We had the pleasure yesterday afternoon of having a visit by a
covey of 10 California Quail in our backyard. It is probably the same
covey that spent the summer and early fall around us. I assume that quail
in January here is rather unusual, as I havn't seen them at this time
before, and I notice that none were seen on the recent CBC. Am I correct
that they are rare in winter here?
