Hi Tweeters,

An update on the Orange-crowned Warbler at Shoreview Park. I saw it
again yesterday, at the top of the hill near the bench, but this morning,
I could not find the flock of kinglets and Chickadees that it was with.
Because of the very gray plumage and lack of lots of bright yellow, I am
tempted to believe that it might be a first winter bird of the subspecies
celata as pictured in the Dunn/Garrett field guide for warblers.

A couple of people have asked me for directions to Shoreview. . .

>From I-5, take exit 176 (I think. It should be the exit for N 175th
street). Head east. That is, if you are coming from the north take a
right, and if you are coming from the south, take a left. You'll pass
Ronald Bog on the left and keep going. When you get to the top of the
hill, you are at Aurora Ave. Go south on Aurora until you get to 160th
street, take a right. Keep going until you see Shoreline Community
College, or atleast its front gate, off to the right and ahead (its sort
of a strange intersection. You'll see what I mean when you get there).
Turn onto this street as if you were going to go to the Community
College, except keep going. As you go down the hill, Shoreview Park will
be on the right. From the Parking lot, look up past the tennis courts
and this is the hill that the bird was on. There is a trail up this
hill, one in particular is easy going if you go towards the woods at the
end of the parking lot. Lots of good birding throughout the park.

If anyone would like to improve on or add to my instructions, feel free.
