Hi All
It was very quiet along the lake today, even Black-capped Chickadees and
Golden-crowned Kinglets were hard come by. As usual, though, there are
always surprises.
The first was a Brewer's Blackbird scraping for seeds along the partially
thawed slough. The second was my first local sighting of a Golden Eagle. The
last treat was a single Horned Grebe. Why does one see one Horned Grebe? Did
they miss the signal when the rest of the flock moved on?
Cheers
