The Birding by Ear is really an educational program which gives various
techniques for learning bird songs. The Peterson CD's are encyclopedic.
Comparing Peterson to Stokes/Elliott, the Stokes/Elliott is far better. The
quality of the recordings is better(less noise) and length of time given to
each species is significantly longer (thus allowing for more complete songs
and calls). Some of the Peterson cuts are very short.
