Dear Tweets:

Today, January 10, 1999, along with a group of 7 other birders from the
Seattle area and another from Los Angeles, I birded southern BC from
Reifel Wildfowl Refuge to Crescent Beach.

We had a good number of waterfowl and raptor species, but the best birds
were:

Northern Saw-Whet Owl: one individual along the east dike at Reifel; and

Brambling: one bird at Blackie Spit.

Other birds of note were Sandhill Cranes (two subspecies, Lesser and
Greater), both swans, Black-crowned Night-Heron, two subspecies of Fox
Sparrow, and "Pink-sided" Junco.

All for now, good birding, Alan
