Hi Tweets -

I was one of the folks who was over in Leavenworth this afternoon who
missed the Bunting. When I got there at 1:30 Patrick and Ruth were just
leaving. Bill and Nancy LaFramboise and Scott and I believe his mother
were still there. Activity had been limited because of the presence of
one (maybe 2) Cooper's Hawks and a Northern Pygmy Owl. Activity picked
up with juncos, finches, sparrows in, when an accipiter flew in. At one
point one of the hawks was down in the immediate vicinity of the feeding
area. Immediate dispersal with lots of juncos around sticking real close
in the densest parts of the shrubs. When the hawk left, lots of birds
came in - mostly juncos with a Golden-crowned Sparrow and a few finches.
The diversity was lower than earlier. Finally gave up just before three.
Guess I'll keep my eyes and ears open as to whether the bird sticks
around.

Good Birding.
