Subject: Birds in my backyard.............From S.W. Wash.

......................Went to take a walk Sun. aft. around my large
mobile home park and , and saw: Golden-crowned Sparrows, Rufuus-sided
Towhees, Red-winged Blackbirds, Black-capped Chickadees, House Finches,
Oreg. Juncos, Robins, a Northern Flicker, Song Sparrows, and 2 Scrub
Jays, and the usual Crows and Starlings..
.......................Went down a few blocks to the small pond and
wetlands of Salmon Creek, and saw: Lesser Scaup, Widgeons, a Ring-necked
duck,3 Double-crest. Cormorants,several pairs of Hooded Mergansers,
Mallards, 1 Great Blue Heron, and......3 large domestic white geese.And
then there was the Harrier Hawk flying overhead.
.......................Nothing unusual, but plenty of winged creatures
for the middle of winter!!----Such pleasures for a quick walk around my
own backyard.!!!!
