No Rustic Bunting was found today by myself or others that were there. We
were there from 8:15 AM until a little after 2:00 PM. The last sighting of
this bird was by individuals who saw the bird early Sunday morning, those
individuals can consider themselves fortunate I guess. The bird may still
be around, one hypothesis is that a good bit of the snow cover has melted
giving the bird more options for foraging in other places, not so reliant
on the feeder area. Connie McCauley, the homeowner said that if she saw
the bird again she would make sure it got put out to public knowledge or
if people want, feel free to call her about the status of the bird.
